VolgaDB Engine 3.3 is a small and fast single-user engine for working with flat files in own Volga format or client-server multi-user engine for working with MS SQL or MS Access databases over a local-area network or modem connection without using BDE, ODBC, MIDAS, MTS, DCOM, CORBA, etc. Component package consists of TVolgaTable, TVolgaQuery, TVolgaServQuery, TVolgaDatabase for Delphi (4,5,6) and C++Builder (4,5) and VolgaDB Desktop utility for managing Volga files. No any register settings. VolgaDB has lite($0), professional($25) and enterprise($70) editions. Main features: - all standard TDataSet methods, properties and events, supports all visual DB-aware components; - compact flat file format without external indexes, supporting most of field types, can save any arbitrary text within Volga table; - record range and filter, master-detail relationship; - sort-on-the-fly in ascending and descending order, record search, context find; - password protection with ciphering for Volga tables; - exporting data to txt, XML, DBF files, restructuring in code; - cloning and batch move, temporary in-memory tables; - save external objects (pointers) for any record like TStrings; - execute simple SQL queries for Volga database, edit, sort, range, master-detail, filter operations on query result as a table; - cached updates for tables and queries, reverting records; - direct access for MS SQL or MS Access databases using client-side components; - can use VolgaDB server application on remote computer using TCP/IP.
