A turn based, multiplayer, play by e-mail war game. As large a group as you like can play at any pace the group decides on. (e.g. from one turn a week to several turns a day.) All players make their moves for each turn simultaneously, and each turn typically takes only a few minutes to play. One player who volunteers to host the game e-mails or otherwise sends the current game file to all the other players. When you get the game file, you make your moves at your convenience, then send the generated moves file to the host. When moves from all the players have been received, or when it's just time according to the deadlines set by the group, the host has the game process the next turn, then sends out the new game file to everybody. Players running the free unregistered version of e-war can participate in multiplayer games up to turn 12, then they must purchase a registration key in order to continue playing in that game. |
