NameScanner allows you to QUICKLY scan LISTS of domain names for availability. Because of its speed, you can automatically monitor those lists of great names that are `about to expire`, as often as you want! Or use it to quickly scan for new names for you or your customers. NameScanner directly queries the WHOIS servers and you won't see a shred of commercial messages, just text! The results of each scanning session are saved. Before starting a session, import a textfile with domain names, or type your list of names, or let the program generate a list of semi-random names, or paste from the clipboard. If needed, clean up the list of names, automatically removing tabs, spaces, and all words that are not domain names. Apply filters: remove names starting with a number, remove names with a hyphen, set a maximum length, TLD (top level domain), and so on. Undo function. Save pre-prepared lists of names. Set an EXCLUDE list, telling the program which names NOT to scan again: this greatly facilitates the scanning of a huge list, spread out over several sessions. Merge lists of names: import a list, add a second, third,... and save the combined list for later processing. TriDComm has a pair of Norton-Commander-style listing windows, all of the ususal file and directory folder icons are rendered as three dimensional objects. File types are indicated by distinctive shapes, and the third dimension of the objects (z-axis) represent the file/directory size. At the base of each object is the file detail material: name, size, moddate and attributes. The app supports the usual file manager controls (directory tree, copy, move, rename, view file, hexview file, view graphic file, edit file, delete file, compare files, find file, make directory) network drive mapping/unmapping and zip file handling. It uses the mouse along with the Ctrl and Alt keys to navigate around in the 3D space provided (pan, zoom and rotate). And you are even given control over background color etc. Version 1.3 also includes 3D icons, 3D trace route, 3D ping, private chat and an FTP server.
