Valgetal (`falling numbers` in Dutch) is an educational falling blocks-style math game with 20 progressively difficult levels for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It's a clever twist on mathematical games and lots of fun. To advance a level, you must complete basic equations by controlling the placement of falling blocks into a container. If you're playing the addition levels, for example, and you place a 3 block on top of a 9, you'll need to place a 12 block on top of them to score. If it isn't the right answer, you are penalized by a reduction in the size of the container, which immediately makes it harder to control successive blocks precisely. The game adjusts as you play to include the appropriate answers in the falling blocks. You'll need a particularly nimble mind to succeed in the upper levels as the blocks descend with increasing speed. You can display the interface in English, Dutch, Frisian, or Spanish and a high-score board lets you post your name and results. Although it's great fun, it's also an addictive learning tool that educators and students should check out!
